This cherry wood mandolin was built in 1987. My wife, Greta, and I (and everyone we could press into free labor) were building our new home. Dad helped a lot and when we were milling cherry wood for the trim, he picked out some of the wood. A couple of months later, he presented me with this fine mandolin. The finger board and accent trim are rosewood. The top is bear claw spruce and the back, sides, and neck are made from the cherry wood he had selected.
