1971 Waylon Jennings & Ted

I am Ted’s oldest grandchild and was born the end of November in 1971. The day I was born a friend of Grandpa’s named Oliver English brought Waylon Jennings to see his guitars and jam a little. After playing a few songs, Ollie bragged Waylon got paid $5000 every time he sang, to which my grandma said, “well for God’s sake, shut up.” Waylon finished up by playing a song he had recorded, but not yet released, that he expected to be a big hit, “Good Hearted Woman,” which Grandma really enjoyed.
